The Unnecessary Arcade

A growing collection of games, puzzles, and questionable uses of an otherwise respectable website.

The arcade is being built around keyboard, touch, and assistive-technology access from the beginning.

Access features are implemented, but real-device assistive-technology testing is not finished.

Keyboard, touch controls, Turn-Based play, and a spoken board description are implemented. Real-device assistive-technology testing is still required.

MORE CABINETS ARE BEING WIRED

The arcade is open, but it is not finished. New games will be added only after they work with keyboard, touch, and assistive technology—not merely after someone succeeds in making them move.

DESIGNED FOR ACCESSIBLE PLAY

Accessibility is a release requirement, not a later patch.

Each released game will state plainly what it supports and what it still does not. Every title will disclose:

  • Keyboard support
  • Touch support
  • Screen-reader and nonvisual support
  • Whether timing is required
  • Whether audio or vision is required
  • Large-text and reduced-motion behavior
  • Known limitations and manual-test status

No claim is made that the arcade as a whole, or any individual title, is fully accessible. Implemented features and completed real-device testing are reported separately, and known limitations stay published alongside each game.
